__fullflush1__ was playing plastikcards and after plastik won a big pot, said gg. fullflush went crazy and offered to pay plastik 10k upfront to 4-table 100/200 nl heads up. plastik took the deal and began getting owned pretty bad. but plastik seemed to be able to adapt to flush’s wild, aggressive style and things started to turn around.
This hand shows the importance of adapting to your opponent. it pretty much speaks for itself.

nothing beats waking up on valentines day morning with a grade-a case of pink eye. so instead of going out tonight to try and hit on lonely, valentineless girls with hotness ranges from 76s to kjo (nice poker analogy!), i will be at home dabbing my eye-cum with a tissue. I guess saturday night will be a great time to catch up on some work!!!1!!!1!!!
gonna go watch the terps play vtech later, sploogy eye and all. btw, lance stephenson apparently is down to st. johns and maryland for schools he will attend for one year before bolting for the draft. maryland seems like a good choice if they had a fuckin scholarship available for him. g dub is banking on 1)cliff tucker/braxton dupree/dino gregory transfering, 2)vasquez going to the draft aka not being drafted and going to play in europe, or 3) sjk being deported. However, the best idea would be to take away steve goins scholarship because he is a complete waste of space.
anyways, i have to go do a shit-ton of laundry because apparently pink-eye bacteria spreads like austrailian wildfires.
more later.
so mediocrepoker now allows us to keep mediocre blogs. how sweet of them. so avoiding any capitalization and grammar checks, i guess i should start my story from the best place to start: the middle.
im an ok poker player. at least i like to tell myself im ok. i used to get average-at-best results playing on pokerstars when i first started out. then i began getting more into the game and reading about poker and watching as much poker as possible. i regularly watch the highstake cashgames on ftp and the big tournies on pokerstars. i kept reading and studying, and my results kept getting worse.
then one day i realized i “got” the game. at least “got” it enough to be able to win the micro-stakes 6-max turbo sngs on stars. so i played those for a while, and made a tiny tiny tiny tiny (its embarassing to talk numbers) amount. so i figured i had those mastered, i should move up. and i did the same wellness at the 6.50 sngs. those games are easy.
needless to say, i moved up again with no bankroll, (ok fine, i turned 25 into 75 in a week playing for an hour or so per night lololol) i went broke.
you might think, wow that is stupid and a waste of a post and who cares about 75 bucks. well, when you are as broke as me, you care. 75×10=more than my bank account.
but i learned something from losing that 75, and its that if i pay proper attention to the game, i can slowly become successful.
so i downloaded dan harringtons “harrington on holdem” volumes 1 and 2 and have begun reading volume 1. (psst. i have them as pdf files incase someone wants me to ship them over. however, i have the computer literacy of terri schiavo so youll have to tell me how to do it).
Soon, I will put in my 10th+ 25 dollar deposit onto stars. but this time, i think….i think i can manage my roll and begin turning my negative ROI around.
