Welcome to my blog!!! I’m a nit when it come to blogging and is my first time. I have being playing NLHE for about 3 years now but never took it seriously. It was mostly recreational; I’ve had many episodes of depositing little monies on FTP and PStars, and going bust. Of late, I’ve been taking my game more seriously. Have been gringing the micro stakes, and currently at 2c5c game. After reading multiple Slanksky books and Cole South blogs (many, many times), I’ve come to realize that Math plays a much more important role in your final outcome. I am a Math person and good with numbers and calculations. I am fairly decent at smallstakes hand reading. I have noticed that a majority of my low stakes opponents play a fairly standard game. I have experimented with several ’styles’ of playing at these levels and have realized that the one with the highest probability of making right decisions is to play small ball poker. I try and see lots of flops and attempt to outplay opponents post-flop. I recently realized that what I believe to be aggression in my game is indeed not. Ther ehas to be a pre-defined set of goals that you wish to accomplish with aggression, while I was being betting/ raising without knowing what I wanted toaccomplish with these actions. Taking a hard look at my game right now, analyzing hands, trying to get a feel for situations, etc. cause a lot of the common situation arise over and over again, and you want to be able to make the most profitable decisions each time.
Anyway, I will end it here for now and will post some hands later along with occasional graphs of success/ failure at the low stakes.
My first milestone is to beat the 2c5c game and move upto 5c10c with 25 buy-ins.
Good luck.
