Admit it.  You can see my fucking cards.  After winning  5 of the last 7 months (and only losing in those 2 months because I tried moving up).  I’m getting destroyed.  I had my worst month ever in June.  Today on the first day of July I lost another 5 buy ins.  I got crushed in 50 NL  and 100 NL.  At 50 NL I had previously won 8 of my last 9 months.  The one losing month I lost a whopping $17.  Trying to move up again crushed my soul and destroyed my game.  Absolutely destroyed it.  I have no fucking confidence.  I can’t win a fucking pot of signifigance.  People are absolutely reading my soul.  EVERY SINGLE cbet is shit on.  EVERY SINGLE late position raise is played back to me.  I just played a hand where I flopped bottom set and I couldn’t fold even though it was a multiway all in pot.  Shocker I had the worst of it.  Some dick had middle set and the other guy had flopped the straight.  I ended up boating but the prick with the higher set turned quads.  Some of you fucking boy wonders I suppose could have folded that flop but not me.  Not when I’m getting shat on daily.  Fuck, Fuck, Fuck.
Jesus Christ I swear the games on FTP are getting tougher by the hour.  What the fuck happened?  Did everybody move down?  Am I the only douche that finds the games getting extremely aggressive.  Full Ring is playing like heads up.  3 and 4 bet pots everywhere.  FUUUUUUUUUCK.  You crazy asses are willing to flip every fucking hand.  WTF?  How do I play against guys that call multiway 3 and 4 bet pots out of position with A2 of and the  flop come A22?  I thought that shit only happened in tournaments.
I literally don’t know what to do. Â I have to cooler somebody to win a pot. Â I just hemorrage cash every fucking hand and hope to cooler one of you dicks enough to break even. Â It’s not that it’s all running bad. Â I’m playing the worst I ever have. Â I think I opened up my game too much and now I’m lost. Â ABSOLUTELY TOTALLY FUCKING LOST.

everyone is moving down. today galfond was playing 50/100 with cole south and brian townsend. there were 6 tables of 25/50 running with guys who usually play the 50/100 game. so you have to assume the 25/50 regs moved down to 10/20…those regs moved down to 5/10…etc etc etc.
In b4 play less tables…
go back to basics. when the table is ultra loose, play ultra tight. Under value your hands. Don’t get married to a hand when straight and flush cards are on the board unless you have it.

Move down to nl10 and see how you do there and work your way up, if that’s even possible any more. The rake is really high at the lower limits and the play is not all that much worse than the high stakes games, it’s very hard to win.
You have to remember that it’s very easy to play good poker and most of the people are competent so if you have any sort of edge your volume has to be massive for it to shine through.
Maybe try just playing 100NL when the games are really good such as happy hour or peak times. At other times just grind 50NL where you know you’re a winner. Might be a good thing on the short-term.
Take a few days off, enjoy the 4th.
When you come back ,maybe change the venue for a month, play on Stars, Cake ,etc.. gl
Weren’t you getting some one-on-one training couple months back? What happened to that?
Maybe it has something to do with the crackdown on U.S. deposits to FTP (eCheck). Some of the guppys may have fled, leaving more sharks in a smaller pond.
Even the pros talk about hitting a brick wall. If you’re intent on sticking to NL and not SNG or MTT, then you just need to ride out the storm. You even pointed out that your months have been more plus than minus.
You’ll throw some bad beat one-outers and get pushed on a made hand soon enough and then be posting how poker’s the best game in the world.
hey eric!! I’m gonna have to be honest with you, i’m too scared to move past NL50 on stars so right now i’m playing on fulltilt playing 1-2limit, moved up starting at .25/.50 the past few month. Been playing 10NL on stars 6max tables.
I don’t know, i’m sorta like you playing 50NL full ring 12-16 tables. I’m beating after a ton of hands. But the moment i take a shot at 100NL, i get my ass handed to me, people calling stacks off with 88,etc. Lose 4-5 buy ins and i’m back grinding 50NL.
I’ve taken some time off from 50NL full ring and concentrating on other games to build my roll.
Have a buddie who tried the 100NL after grinding the 50NL and winning like EB was. He got crushed in the 100NL. He tried the 1 2 game instead and is having some good luck there. I wonder if you get more casnio donks playing online going to the 1 2 game because thats what they play in the casino. Where 100NL is a lot of former 50NL regs, thus its tougher to beat then 1 2.
Seems strange but maybe there are more fish at 1 2 then .50 1.

First off, this blog sounds like my blog haha. You’re typing just as angrily as I used to.
Anyway, as I’ve told you many times before, you gotta stop nitting it up. You gotta start calling those pfrr’s with those KQss’s vs really aggro players in position preflop. You really gotta play position. You also have to start 4betting those who 3bet preflop often. Remember to polarize your 4betting range, to where you know if you’re calling a 5bet shove or going to fold before the player even makes his move.
