First, thanks to everybody for tolerating my rant. Â I’m embarrased by it now, but it’s how I felt at the time. Â The reality of the situation is I have to back off and play less tables when I’m struggling. Â It’s so obvious. Â Any moron should be able to realize that you can’t move up and just start playing 12 tables at a new level that you haven’t succesfully figured out. Â I feel incredibly stupid in hindsight.
Of all places to be when I have zero confidence in my poker game. Â Bret and I arrived in Vegas yesterday and immediately checked in to the RIO. Â We’ll be her til Tuesday unless I go broke before (likely) or I simply miss my wife and kids too much and just bail. Â We’ll see how it goes. Â Deep down I’m a homebody so we’ll see how long I last. Â If I came here with a bunch of guys it would be one thing but it’s just Bret and I and his chick is flying in today so we’ll see how long I last basically wondering Vegas on my own.
But being the nerd that I am I brougt an extra monitor so I can grind if I feel like it. Â How sick is it when you are in Vegas and surrounded by a million donks, meatheads and strippers and you would prefer to be in your room grinding. LOSER!!!!!
I will say that Bret and I had a great dinner with an online legend last night and his assistant. Â We had a great time and both are playing in the main event so GL to both of you!!!!! Â I don’t want to jinx anything but we have some great things in the works for MPR and some cool partnerships that may develop. Â We’ll spill the beans when we can but it’s a very exciting time for 2 poker nerds that do a poker show just because we love it.
Speaking of Vegas, if any of you are in town leave a comment about where you are and maybe Bret and I can meet up with anyone interested for a happy hour. Â I’m assuming some are in town for the ME? Â Maybe I’m being presumptious but if anybody wants to meet up for a drink or play some low stakes poker leave a comment. Â Peace and GL!
Oh by the way! Â We saw Matt Damon, Ben Affleck, Charles Barkley, Annie Duke, Don Cheadle, Sarah Silverman, Jason Alexander, Brad Garret, Cedric the Entertainer, Antonio Esfandiari and a bunch of others at the Ante Up for Africa event. Â We used our media credential to get in and rub elbows. Â I have to say we were too star struck to say anything to them although I did yell to Barkley that he should be on the range instead of playing cards. Â He ignored me. Â Shocker!

Wish I was at the Rio. Had a blast at the ME in 2006 (watching, not playing). Met Doyle, Hellmuth, Ferguson and Cloutier. Also got to play at the final table so the camera crew could check the feeds.
Make sure to get some good pics to post and track down some players for MPR interviews.
Now get away from your F’ing computer and hit the poker room!!
Hey EB,
My gf and I are in Vegas for a little rnr and are staying at caesars. We met you at the JPO5 last November. You probably wouldn’t remember by description, but, she’s a short blonde and I’m a tall donk that you thought you recognized. I believe we met at the b bar and then ran into each other throughout the day. Anyway, if you’re out and about shoot me a tweet @therizz. Good Luck!
BTW, the twitpick of the dang brother looked like a scene out of a drug trafficing movie…silly!
Ryan
EB, Wow what can I say about our 3some last night. I never thought I would be so turned on by watch you and Ryan T bag each other. Does your wife read these posts??
So you brought a monitor…TO LAS VEGAS?!…so ghay. It not like you were headed to Pensacola, it’s freakin’ Vegas, the premiere mancation destination. If you can’t be happy in Vegas without a monitor you probably should just stack yourself off so your family can enjoy life without your misery.
Edog, you have PLENTY of game to play TAG at the 5/10 NL tables in Vegas, especially during the WSOP and I would just about guarantee a player of your experience will beat the 2/5 live games all year long.
fellow..
I’m not a lot into reading, but somehow I got to look atmany information in your webpage. Its excellent how helpful it can be for me to go to you genuinely often.
