Hey guys- here is a video I made last night of me playing a $55 turbo heads-up sit and go.  You will hear my thought process and how I approach these matches.  Since I mainly play HU S&G’s I do think I have an advantage although I am obviously not a poker pro and I’m sure there are many leaks in my game and thinking.  I made the video in the same style as Bluefirepoker.com or Cardrunners.com or .  Let me know what you think.  Oh, I also made other videos which are longer…just gotta figure out how to get them on the web without using nubbins youtube.  If anyone reading this is interested in making a vid, it’s actually really easy.  Shoot me an email and I can walk you through how to do it.  We’ll post it on the site and we can critique each others play and maybe learn a thing or two.  Thx for watching….

Hey, nice short video, of course not much to comment on with the few hands played. I am not a Sit&go player but I will give you a comment on the TJ hand where the flop comes Q99 with a Flush draw. I think your play is fine, but I think there is a better way to play it. Your opponent donks into you and you are likely to have the best hand in terms of equity, but if he has anything he probably has you beat. So his range is either a hand that beats you or pretty much nothing. Since you only have a drawing hand you either want to win the pot right there or geht to showdown cheaply. So think about raising his flop bet. First you can have several legitimate hands here you would raise and get it in with, so he can’t just shove over the top as a bluff. So he has to fold all his bad hands. If he has something he can either shove it allin, and you can fold easily, or he can just call. He is most likely to just call if he has a pocket pair 2’s through 8’s or a weak Queen. Then he will check any turn to you since he is scared and want to get to showdown cheaply. You can just check behind the turn now and get a free showdown. If you hit one of your outs you can call/raise or bet, if you hit nothing you can just fold or check behind. I think the flop raise is good because his hand will be very defined by what action he takes and you will see a cheap showdown or get away cheaply.

Kind of a waste/pointless to post a video of a sng that is 4 hands and done. I like the idea of posting videos, but next time you’re recording a sng, and it’s over in 2 minutes, maybe play another one…a blind down syndrome kid could win a hu sng flopping trips vs a donkey

lesmurphy77, ur a donk…how bout bret galfond set the guy up first by playing the open-ender aggresively, then bet out trips to induce a frustrated opponent to reraise with nothing. your lying if u say u wouldnt have slowed play the trips heads up, and am pretty sure that is precisely how bret galfond ended the match so quickly, with the high level poker skill that amateurs lack…u saw a short sng, i saw bret tyson v mr. spinks…oh yeah, and he called out exactly how it would play out before it happened…i challenge u to post a similar sng victory done so quickly and skillfully. dont hate the genius, learn from bret tyson galfond.

    2) what program do you use to record these?
    3) ram, let us know how deep bret’s ass canal goes.
    4) i liked the video
    5) but i think you got really lucky this guy shoved with 3rd pair. i dont think 9/10 players in a $55 heads up would do that same play. but i could be wrong.

    cheers

Video could be a little bit longer, but I am sure a lot of people wouldnt watch it if it was much longer

Like the videos. I’m not much for online heads-up play though, so more tourney/limit vids would be great.

I think the vids (similar to shows like PAD) help us grinders out by letting us watch someone else and comparing how we think we woulda played a hand.

1000 times better value being able to watch a hand and listen to a player’s thought process than trying to reading about it.

    Waiting for more . . .
