VEGAS!!!!

First, thanks to everybody for tolerating my rant.  I’m embarrased by it now, but it’s how I felt at the time.  The reality of the situation is I have to back off and play less tables when I’m struggling.  It’s so obvious.  Any moron should be able to realize that you can’t move up and just start playing 12 tables at a new level that you haven’t succesfully figured out.  I feel incredibly stupid in hindsight.

Of all places to be when I have zero confidence in my poker game.  Bret and I arrived in Vegas yesterday and immediately checked in to the RIO.  We’ll be her til Tuesday unless I go broke before (likely) or I simply miss my wife and kids too much and just bail.  We’ll see how it goes.  Deep down I’m a homebody so we’ll see how long I last.  If I came here with a bunch of guys it would be one thing but it’s just Bret and I and his chick is flying in today so we’ll see how long I last basically wondering Vegas on my own.

But being the nerd that I am I brougt an extra monitor so I can grind if I feel like it.  How sick is it when you are in Vegas and surrounded by a million donks, meatheads and strippers and you would prefer to be in your room grinding. LOSER!!!!!

I will say that Bret and I had a great dinner with an online legend last night and his assistant.  We had a great time and both are playing in the main event so GL to both of you!!!!!  I don’t want to jinx anything but we have some great things in the works for MPR and some cool partnerships that may develop.  We’ll spill the beans when we can but it’s a very exciting time for 2 poker nerds that do a poker show just because we love it.

Speaking of Vegas, if any of you are in town leave a comment about where you are and maybe Bret and I can meet up with anyone interested for a happy hour.  I’m assuming some are in town for the ME?  Maybe I’m being presumptious but if anybody wants to meet up for a drink or play some low stakes poker leave a comment.  Peace and GL!

Oh by the way!  We saw Matt Damon, Ben Affleck, Charles Barkley, Annie Duke, Don Cheadle, Sarah Silverman, Jason Alexander, Brad Garret, Cedric the Entertainer, Antonio Esfandiari and a bunch of others at the Ante Up for Africa event.  We used our media credential to get in and rub elbows.  I have to say we were too star struck to say anything to them although I did yell to Barkley that he should be on the range instead of playing cards.  He ignored me.  Shocker!

You Suck (Warning Pissed off Rant)

Admit it.  You can see my fucking cards.   After winning  5 of the last 7 months (and only losing in those 2 months because I tried moving up).  I’m getting destroyed.  I had my worst month ever in June.  Today on the first day of July I lost another 5 buy ins.   I got crushed in 50 NL  and 100 NL.   At 50 NL I had previously won 8 of my last 9 months.  The one losing month I lost a whopping $17.   Trying to move up again crushed my soul and destroyed my game.  Absolutely destroyed it.   I have no fucking confidence.  I can’t win a fucking pot of signifigance.  People are absolutely reading my soul.  EVERY SINGLE cbet is shit on.  EVERY SINGLE late position raise is played back to me.  I just played a hand where I flopped bottom set and I couldn’t fold even though it was a multiway all in pot.  Shocker I had the worst of it.  Some dick had middle set and the other guy had flopped the straight.  I ended up boating but the prick with the higher set turned quads.  Some of you fucking boy wonders I suppose could have folded that flop but not me.  Not when I’m getting shat on daily.  Fuck, Fuck, Fuck.

Jesus Christ I swear the games on FTP are getting tougher by the hour.  What the fuck happened?  Did everybody move down?  Am I the only douche that finds the games getting extremely aggressive.  Full Ring is playing like heads up.  3 and 4 bet pots everywhere.  FUUUUUUUUUCK.  You crazy asses are willing to flip every fucking hand.  WTF?  How do I play against guys that call multiway 3 and 4 bet pots out of position with A2 of and the  flop come A22?  I thought that shit only happened in tournaments.

I literally don’t know what to do.  I have to cooler somebody to win a pot.  I just hemorrage cash every fucking hand and hope to cooler one of you dicks enough to break even.   It’s not that it’s all running bad.  I’m playing the worst I ever have.  I think I opened up my game too much and now I’m lost.  ABSOLUTELY TOTALLY FUCKING LOST.

Worst. Month. Ever.

Well…not really.  Nobody died.  My family is in good health, knock on wood.  I still have a job.  My wife still gets cised for me.   We just had our 3rd child.  I just finished having a silly pizza from Manny’s Pizza and Subs. I’m typing this from my electric leather recliner in my media room in front of my 100 inch screen and my 6 other TV’s.  Life is pretty freaking good- except for poker.  In life I’m totally free rolling.  In poker I’m the biggest fish on Full Tilt right now.

You want to feel good about yourself?  Get into a hand with me and watch me overplay my hand, get no action on my made hands or in the rare instance I actually get it in ahead enjoy the runner runner suckouts that I endure routinely.   It’s not just suckouts.  I forgot how to win a hand.  This month I’ve dedicated myself to the NL100 game and once again it crushes my soul.  I’m pretty sure I have come to one conclusion beyond the obvious fact that I can’t beat the game.  I don’t think you can run over the NL100 game the way you can run over the NL50.  It’s obvious to me after really analyzing my play over the last 250k hands that the NL50 game can be modestly beat with simple liberal agression.  Not so at NL100.  I dare someone to prove me otherwise.

Late position steals are not respected.  C bets are completely played back.    If you 3 bet they 4 bet if you flat the guy behind squeezes.  Basically you have to flop the nuts and cooler somebody and hope they don’t draw out on you.  If you know of any other way please let me know.

I’m thinking of just playing SNG’s and MTT’s.  I figure any shithead can play those well.   Hope you are playing better and have some suggestions for a meathead radio guy that apparently tops out at NL50.  (And don’t just say play fewer tables.  I can’t.  Too boring.  And with my HUD and everything else I can see who’s running a table over etc.  It’s just that I apparently can’t adjust properly).
